Indications: Chronic cough with sparse sputum that is difficult to expectorate, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, a dry mouth and tongue, a pale, red tongue with a dry, thin coating, and a deficient, rapid or deficient, thin pulse.

Cautions and contraindications: This formula should be used only with extreme caution in cases with high fever, or in which the pathogenic influence has not been resolved, or pathogenic influence has yet to injure the fluids.
