Ai Ye - Mugwort leaf (Folium Artemisiae Argyi)

Properties: Warm, Bitter, Acrid. Channels: Spleen, Liver, Kidney

Action and indication: Bleeding due to deficiency Cold, especially uterine.  (Jiao Ai Tang)

Deficieny Cold in lower jiao with abdominal pain, irregular menses, amenorrhea.

Restless fetus, spotting in pregnancy, infertility due to deficiency Cold.

Itchy skin due to damp-Cold.

Same herb used for moxibustion.

Caution: heat, bl or Yin deficiency.   

Raw: pain, itching. Char: bleeding.

Dose: 3-9 g
