Chief: Sheng Di Huang

Mu Tong, Dan Zhu Ye, Gan Cao Shao

Pattern: Heat in the Heart and Small Intestine channels.

Indications: Irritability with a sensation of heat in the chest, thirst with a desire to drink Cold beverages, a red face, possibly sores around the mouth, a red tongue, and a rapid pulse.  Also used for dark, scanty, rough, and painful urination, or even clearly visible blood in the urine.
