Properties: acrid, hot. Channels: Large Intestine, Stomach.

Action and indication: Is primarily a digestive herb. Eliminates pathogenic cold in the Stomach and Intestines. For diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

Contraindicated: Pregnancy.

Dose: 1.5-3g in decoctions (crush before using); 0.5-1g in pills and powders
