Indications: Bright-red bleeding from the rectum during defecation which typically precedes (but may also follow) the passage of stool, blood in the stools, hemorrhoids with either bright-red or dark-red bleeding, a red tongue body, and a wiry, rapid or soggy, rapid pulse.
