Notopterygium and Isatis Root Decoction (qiang lan tang)

Ingredients: Qiang huo, Ban lan gen

Pattern: This is externally-contracted heat affecting the head and neck. The generalized soreness, and sore, swollen throat and glands reflect the presence of heat toxin.

Actions: Releases the exterior, clears heat, and relieves toxicity.

Indications:  Fever and chills, headache, generalized soreness, and sore, swollen throat with or without swollen glands.
