Qin Jiao - Large-leaf gentian root (Radix Gentianae macrophyllae)

Properties: sligthly Cold, Bitter, Acrid. Channels: Gall Bladder, Liver, Stomach

Action and indication: Wind-damp Bi with Yin deficiency heat. (Du Huo Ji Sheng Tang)

Damp-heat jaundice, especially infants.

Counteracts drying properties of other Wind-damp herbs.

Contraindicated for weak constitution, Spleen deficiency diarrhea, frequent urine.

Dose: 4.5-12 g
