Properties: Cold, Bitter. Channels: Kidney, Liver, Gall Bladder

Action and indication: Low fever due to summerheat or deficient Yin with smoldering heat. (Qing Hao Bie Jia San, Qing Gu San)

Cools blood. Relieves malaria. (Hao Qin Qing Dan Tang)

Contraindicated in deficiency Cold patterns or post-partum blood deficiency.

Not to be boiled long time.
