Chief: Ge Jie

Ren Shen, Fu Ling, Sang Bai Pi, Xing Ren, Chuan Bei Mu, Zhi Mu, Gan Cao

Pattern: Lung Qi Deficiency with chronic Phlegm-Heat in the Lung

Indications: Chronic coughing and wheezing, thick, yellow sputum, coughing of pus and blood, a sensation of heat and irritability in the chest, facial edema, gradual emaciation, a purple tongue with either a thin and white or a tongue with greasy, thin, and yellow tongue coating, and a floating, deficient pulse, especially at the distal position.
