Sha Shen - Glehnia root (Radix Glehniae)

Properties: sligthly Cold, Sweet, sligthly Bitter. Channels: Lung, Stomach

Action and indication: Moistens Lung, stops dry cough due to Yin deficiency. (Sha Shen Mai Men Dong Tang)

Nourishes Stomach, generates fluids: thirst, dry mouth.              

Dry itchy skin especially in Cold, dry weather.

Antagonizes Fang ji, Li lu.

Contraindicated: cough due to Wind-Cold, deficiency Cold.
