Properties: sligthly Cold, Sweet, sligthly Salty, Bland. Channels: Kidney, Stomach

Action and indication: Nourishes Stomach Yin, generates fluids: thirst, dry mouth, Stomach pain, dry heaves.

Brightens eyes.

Strengthens lumbar.

Contraindicated: fluid congestion, excess heat, deficiency without heat excess, dampness patterns. Retains exterior pathogens so cannot be used in early stage febrile disease.
