Xing Ren - Apricot seed (Semen Armeniacae)

Properties: sligthly Warm, Bitter, sligthly toxic. Channels: Large Intestine, Lung

Action and indication: Cough and wheezing, especially exterior dry. (Sang Xing Tang, Xing Su San, Ma Xing Shi Gan Tang)

Moistens intestines: for dry constipation (Ma Zi Ren Wan)

Contraindicated: diarrhea, Yin deficiency. Slightly toxic, avoid overdosing.

Caution in infants. Lethal dose 50 seeds in adults, 10 in kids.

Dose: 3-9 g
